Laser Shooting System
Today marks 100 days before the opening ceremony of the 2011 CISM Military World Games. As the competitions quickly approach, the CISM modern pentathlon sports committee wants to ensure that your delegation has been properly informed about an important change to the modern pentathlon competition.
 For the 2011 Modern Pentathlon Military World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, the laser shooting system will be used during the combined event. The modern pentathlon CISM sports committee made this decision because it is dedicated to ensuring that our Military World Championship competitions are of the highest quality.
The laser system has been approved by the Union International de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) and has been used in each of this year's UIPM World Cup competitions. Additionally, the CISM modern pentathlon rules have been updated to incorporate use of the laser shooting system.
