| 66th CISM GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND CONGRESS |
| Flawless organization and important decision in Korea The Korean hosts of our 66th CISM General Assembly and Congress did not save any effort to offer to the 269 participants from 82 countries the very best conditions for the CISM annual meeting. They did much more than expected and are fully praiseworthy for the resounding success of the event; You’ll read hereafter that the CISM world sports Program based on the shift from small sized events to large audience and mega sports meetings is fully supported by the CISM Member Nations which have come up with many proposals to host and develop our calendars. But the Member Nations have also expressed their support the modernizing of CISM by adopting new internal regulations which shall govern our activities smoothly and more efficiently. |

| CISM BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION |
A full team at the Bod. Elections were held in Korea last week. As a results, the following officers were elected in the CISM Board of Directors:
a. Colonel Van Velthoven (BEL) as CISM Treasurer General;
b. Général (Dr.) Meguedad (ALG) as President CISM Africa;
c. Navy Captain Luiz Carlos Serrano (BRA) as President CISM Americas;
d. Lt-Colonel A. Hakim Alsheeno (BRN) as President CISM Asia;
e. Colonel Hulme (NAM), Colonel Ompebe (CGO) and Colonel Diallo as African BoD members;
f. General Whitecross (CAN), Colonel Li-Fo Sjoe (SUR) as American BoD Members;
g. General Wangpei (CHN), General Boutros (LIB) and General KIM (KOR) as Asian BoD members;
h. General Prograjc (SLO) and Colonel Schepelev (RUS) as European BoD members. |

| 6th CISM MILITARY WORLD GAMES |
| The 6th CISM Military World Games are attributed to the Republic of Korea for 2015. It was announced for a long time but had never been formalized till that 12th may afternoon when the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Korea and our President signed the preliminary contract of organization of the 6th CISM Military World Games 2015 to be held in the city of Mungyeong. This solemn momentum gave then place to the exploding joy of the whole Korean participants from the Armed Forces, the sports federations and the citizens of Mungyeong who were waiting for this moment with impatience. Now, a lot of work is ahead but these Games will certainly be of a great relevance for the development of CISM in the South-East Asia. |

| 2nd CISM WINTER MILITARY WORLD GAMES |
| The Second CISM Winter Military World Games are attributed to Annecy-Chamonix in March 2013. On 8 May 2011, the CISM Board of Directors after carefully analyzing the reports of the evaluation teams retained solely the candidature of Annecy-Chamonix to host the 2nd edition of the CISM Winter military World Games in March 2013. The chief delegate of CISM France, General Jacques Renaud and our President, Colonel Kalkaba signed the commitment of organization during the closing ceremony of the 66th General Assembly in front of a standing and applauding audience. |

| 2nd CISM WORLD CADETS GAMES |
| The Second CISM World Cadets Games will be organized in July 2012 in St Petersburg. The Russian Minister of Defense confirmed this organization in the academic city of St Petersburg next summer 2012. A special study group was established to define basic elements of this event such as the final sports program, the ages categories etc. An inspection visit is planned soon in Russia for this purpose. |

| CISM FUTSAL PEACE CUP |
| Slovenia will host the CISM Futsal Peace Cup in October this Autumn. If the city was not chosen yet, the Organizer is already confirmed as the Slovenian Armed Forces will welcome the other 5 former ex-Yugoslav Republic this Autumn for the famous CISM Futsal peace cup. |

| CISM WORLD FOOTBALL TROPHY |
| Azerbaijan officially candidate to host the first CISM world Football Trophy in 2013 in Baku. Initially planned in 2012, the first CISM World Football Trophy was postponed to 2013 to avoid placing the event inside a world football calendar far too much busy with the Euro 2012 among others. The Azeri delegation officially positioned itself as candidate to host that 16 teams football tournament. The deadline for any other application is fixed to 31 December 2011. |

| 3rd CISM WORLD CADETS GAMES |
| Ecuador confirms its candidacy to host the 3rd CISM World Cadets Games in 2014: soon after the formal appointment of Russia to host the event in 2012, the Delegation of Ecuador officially submitted its candidacy to host the Cadets Games in 2014. This is another good sign of the commitment of the CISM delegations to develop sports with the youngsters. |
