48th CISM World Military Men’s Basketball Championship
|
 The World Military Sports Basketball Championship came to a close Tuesday afternoon in the Chaparral Fitness Center with the presentation of the gold, silver and bronze medals to the winning teams.
The United States defeated Lithuania, 84-74, in a dramatic comeback victory to win its first CISM championship since 1988.

FIFA Supports CISM (Football development)

 On the 3rd of April, the CISM Secretary General was received by Mr. Sepp Blatter, to brief the FIFA President about the CISM – FIFA projects in 2007 and the upcoming projects in 2008.
In a former meeting in 2007, the FIFA President proudly explained that he many years ago – as a young Swiss Lieutenant – helped in the organization of a CISM – Military World Championship Skiing in Switzerland!!! more

Turkey CISM Day Run
|
 CISM Day Run was organized in order for intimating the military world to the public, through sport Naval High school in the Heybeliada/Istanbul –Turkey on the 21st Feb 2008.
Under the patronage of School Commander, district governor, teachers etc, about 1000 officers and cadets, ran together about 5 km to commemorate the anniversary – this year the 60th – of the “Conseil International du Sport Militaire”.
